Part-Time Senior Center Coordinator
Duties: The Senior Center Coordinator is responsible for the administration, organization and management of the overall senior (active adult) programming within the Recreation Department. This position is also responsible for scheduling of the Kraus Senior Center. This position has direct supervision of part time staff and volunteers including but not limited to recruitment, development, scheduling, record keeping, payroll, evaluating and terminating of employees. This position also maintains regular interaction with customers and provides assistance as needed to other departments within the District. This position requires an energetic and creative individual who possess outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to work varying hours to meet program, special event and facility needs and perform the physical demands of the position. Other required tasks, duties and responsibilities include planning, public relations, safety & risk management, personnel, financial and facility management. Qualifications: Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma with one (1) year of related experience. Experience with registration software and/or willingness to learn is desired. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications and a valid Illinois driver’s license will be required upon hiring.
Hourly pay rate: $11.00 per hour, 21 hours per week
