• Prototype Process Technician

    Supports the department with prototype molding, prototype mold design, prototype part design and project management services to support department and company activities; maintains prototype molding area for safety and cleanliness.


    • Project Management of new and existing prototype mold builds and mold maintenance – works with external suppliers to deliver tools as scheduled on-budget and on-time
    • Completes mold installations and conversions
    • Develops and maintains weekly molding schedules within PMCS Prototype Scheduler
    • Maintains Prototype Mold Design Standards
    • Maintains resin, colorant and additives material inventories
    • Supports internal 3-D printed parts fabrication and post-processing and finishing
    • Samples colors for customer color match purposes
    • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
    • Minimum 5 years of working injection molding plastics processing experience, preferably in a Process Technician capacity
    • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience preferred, including management of external vendors
    • Must be able to obtain (Big Joe) pallet jack license
    • Must possess basic to intermediate computer skills
    • Must be able to generate 160 foot pounds of torque on mold clamp bolts using a 24” torque wrench
    • Must be able to lift loads up to 65 pounds from floor level to above waist
    • Must be able to reach machine and auxiliary equipment controls, and climb on presses
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
    • Must possess basic math skills and good mechanical aptitude
    • Requires visual acuity and ability to detect visual changes in plastic under a microscope
