SUMMER CAMP KEEPS KIDS ACTIVE IN EVERY WAYIt’s summertime!! Time to unplug, go outside, explore, be active and make new
friends. Cary Park District’s summer camp programs offer kids of all ages an
opportunity to do all of that and so much more!
Tiny Tots Camp
Tiny Tots Camp is perfect for children ages 2-3 who want a camp experience but are
too young for Sunshine Camp. This three day camp offers two hours of hands-on
games, crafts, activities that will fill your child’s morning with fun! Young campers
gain independence and develop important social and motor skills in a safe and
encouraging indoor environment. Children must be two by the first day of camp.
Camp is held from 9:00–11:00 am. Sessions are held May 28-30, July 30-August 1,
and August 6–8. Cost is $45 for residents and $68 for non-residents.
For children ages 3-5, Camp Sunshine is a fun-packed camp that encourages
youngsters to maintain social, mental and physical activity during the summer
months through arts and crafts, music, outdoor exploration, water fun, friendship
building and more. Activities are based around a weekly theme to ensure a variety of
activities for campers all summer long.
Sunshine Camp is located at the Cary Park District’s Preschool, 1180 Silver Lake
Road in the beautiful wooded surroundings of Lions Park which provides wonderful
areas for outdoor exploration and play. Weekly two day or five day sessions from 9
am to 1 pm are available all summer. Each camper must bring a sack lunch, a towel
and come to camp with their swimsuit on under their clothes for daily outdoor water
play. Children must be three years old by the first day of camp and completely toilet
trained – no pull ups.
Until May 24, cost for Sunshine Camp’s five day session is $78 for residents and
$122 for non-residents. After May 24, cost for Sunshine Camp’s two day session is
$48 for residents and $72 for non-residents; and cost for the five day session is $88
for residents and $132 for non-residents.
For kids in grades K-8, Camp ECHO is Cary Park District’s solution to the
summertime boredom blues. Sign up now to give your child a summer vacation
loaded with rich outdoor interactive experiences. Each week-long session offers a
variety of daily activities including fishing, hiking, creating crafts, swimming at the
Park District pool, playing sports and exploring on field trips. Located in the beautiful
Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area at 1520 Crystal Lake Avenue, Camp ECHO is the
perfect environment to ensure your child has a daily dose of fresh air, social
interaction, physical activity and mental stimulation all summer long.
Camp ECHO is held from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with extended time
options from 7:00 to 8:30 am before camp and 3:30 to 6:00 pm after camp to
accommodate working parents. A two day flex camp option is also available to allow
your child to attend camp on Monday and Wednesday only. Cost of Camp ECHO
ranges from $85 to $215 per week depending on residency, camp session and date
of registration. Early bird discount costs are available if you register before 5 pm on

Camp ECHO counselors who are mature, enthusiastic college students and adults
who provide a safe environment for campers to develop life skills while having a
