• Patient Family Advisory Council at Northwestern Medicine

    Northwestern Medicine invites patients and their families to share feedback.
    A Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) will soon be available at Northwestern Medicine McHenry and Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospitals to provide a forum for patients to help evaluate hospital services and provide feedback to improve quality, safety and patient-centered care across the organization.
    Patients and family members who have received care at Northwestern Medicine McHenry or Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospitals and who meet the program qualifications are asked to apply for this unique volunteer opportunity.
    Candidate Qualifications
     Articulate personal insights and perspectives in a constructive way
     Offer honest suggestions for improvements
     Listen and accept differing perspectives
     Ask questions
     Maintain confidentiality
     Partner with hospital employees to create meaningful change and collaboration
     Complete orientation, undergo a background check, complete mandatory health screenings and sign a confidentiality (HIPAA) agreement
     All age groups are welcome
    Program Components
     All interested candidates will go through an interview process
     Orientation is offered through the Northwestern Medicine Department of Volunteer Services
     Quarterly meetings for each hospital are from 6 – 8 pm (dinner is included)
